I will take any excuse I can get to plug Sorkin

This reminds me of a quote from Sports Night, the show Aaron Sorkin did before The West Wing and Studio 60:

"And in that moment, Dan was reminded why he wanted to be a writer in the first place. It's for the same reason that anybody does anything -- to impress women."
